TilthIQ offers three subscription tiers designed to match different gardening needs, from a single backyard plot to a collaborative team garden.

Free Plan
The Free plan is designed for gardeners just getting started with TilthIQ or those with a small, simple garden. It includes all core tracking features for 1 garden and up to 20 plantings.
The Free plan has no trial period and no expiration — you can use it indefinitely.
Garden Pro
Garden Pro is the right choice for serious home gardeners who want the full TilthIQ experience. It unlocks unlimited gardens and plantings, the Garden AI assistant (for plant enrichment, the seed photo identifier, and the AI chat), growing zone features, and PDF export.
Garden Pro is available on monthly or annual billing. Annual billing provides a significant discount compared to monthly.
Garden Team
Garden Team includes everything in Garden Pro plus full team collaboration features: invite unlimited members, assign roles (Owner, TeamLeader, Member), and manage shared gardens with role-based access control.
Garden Team is designed for:
- Family gardens where multiple household members contribute
- Community garden organizations
- School or educational garden programs
- Small farms or market gardens with staff
How to Upgrade
- Go to Account > Billing and Plans
- Click Choose Plan on your desired tier
- Enter your payment information
- Your new features are available immediately after purchase
Managing or Canceling Your Plan
From Account > Billing and Plans, you can:
- Switch between monthly and annual billing
- Upgrade or downgrade your plan
- View billing history and download invoices
- Cancel your subscription
When you cancel, your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period. After that, your account reverts to the Free tier.
What Happens When You Downgrade
If you downgrade from Pro or Team to Free and have more than 1 garden or 20 plantings, your data is not deleted automatically. However, you will not be able to add new plantings beyond the Free plan limits until you are back within the limits or re-upgrade.
Tip: Annual billing typically saves you 2 months of cost compared to monthly. If you have been on TilthIQ for a full season and plan to continue, switching to annual is a straightforward way to reduce costs.
